Notification settings let you choose which alerts Vidimo sends you. Open them from your avatar in the top bar, then tap Notification settings. The screen is titled Notifications.

The toggles

Each row has a switch you tap to turn it on or off. Your choices apply to your own account.

Messages

New messages from guests and your team.

Reservations

Guests arriving, cancellations, expired card holds, and repeated failed sign-ins on a booking.

Registration deadlines

Guest registrations Vidimo couldn’t file, and ones approaching their legal filing deadline.
To change a setting, tap its switch. A switch to the right (highlighted) is on; to the left is off. Changes take effect as soon as you tap.
These switches control which notifications you receive on this account. They don’t change what your teammates get. Everyone manages their own.
What you receive also depends on your role. Guest messages, arrivals, and registration deadlines go to Owners, Managers, and Receptionists. Operators are not notified about guest conversations.

Allowing notifications on your phone

The toggles above decide which alerts Vidimo sends. Your phone separately decides whether Vidimo may show notifications at all. Vidimo doesn’t ask for that straight after you sign in. Once your conversations have finished syncing for the first time, a card appears at the bottom of the screen titled Know the moment a guest writes:
  • Turn on notifications opens your phone’s own permission dialog. Allow it there and notifications start arriving.
  • Not now closes the card without asking your phone. You can still be asked later, for example the first time you start a call or record a voice note.
Your phone shows its own permission dialog once. If you tap Don’t allow there, Vidimo can’t ask again. Turn notifications back on from your phone’s Settings app, under Vidimo.
