A block holds nights off sale without a booking behind them: an owner staying, a bathroom being refitted, or a room you simply want to stop selling. Manage blocks from the property’s settings.
Blocked dates live under property settings, which are role-gated: only Managers and other users with settings access can hold rooms off sale. See Roles & permissions.
A blocked night stops being sold here and on your connected channels — it is subtracted from the availability your channels see, the same way a reservation is. That is the point: a room you are holding should not get booked out from under you.

Hold nights off sale

Under What to hold, choose either:
  • A single room — “Room 103”. Only that room is held; the others of its type stay on sale.
  • A whole room type — “Every Double”. Every room of that type is held.
Then set First night and Last night. Both nights are included, and the morning after the last night is bookable again — the same way a departure day works for a reservation. Holding a room for the night of the 1st through the night of the 4th means a guest can check in on the 5th. Pick a Reason so the block explains itself later: The block appears in the list below, showing the nights held, what is held, and why.

Remove a block

Delete a block from its row in the list. The nights go back on sale immediately — here and on your connected channels.

Block dates from the calendar

For a quick hold you can work straight from the calendar: tap Block dates, then drag across a room’s row to hold those nights. It creates the same kind of block, scoped to that one room, with the reason set to Closed manually. Held nights show on the calendar as a striped band across the room’s row, labelled with the reason.

Blocking versus closing

Two different tools, easy to confuse:
  • Blocked dates hold inventory. The room is not available, so it does not count toward what you can sell.
  • Closed on the Pricing screen stops a night selling while the room still exists in inventory.
For an owner stay or maintenance, a block is what you want.
