Change your profile photo
At the top of the screen is your photo. Tap it (the caption reads Tap to change profile photo) and choose a new image. Your initials show as a placeholder until you add a photo.Appearance
Under Appearance you can switch how the app looks. Choose one of three options:- Light: a light theme.
- Dark: a dark theme.
- System: follows your device’s setting.
Haptics
Under Haptics, Vibrate on confirmations controls whether your phone gives you a short buzz when something you asked for lands: a guest checked in or out, an ID scanned, a turnover finished, or a change that couldn’t be saved. It’s there so you can keep your eyes on the guest instead of the screen. The buzz never replaces what’s on screen, so you lose nothing by turning it off. Your choice applies right away, and only on the phone you’re holding.Vibration needs a phone. iPads have no vibration motor, so the setting has no
effect there. Your phone’s own system settings can switch off vibration too,
and those win over this one.
Your details
Each detail sits in its own card with a short description and its own Save button. Edit a field, then tap Save on that card to keep the change. A Saved confirmation appears next to the button, and Save stays inactive until you actually change something.1
Full name
Edit the Full name field, then tap Save. This is the name your
colleagues and guests see, so it can’t be left empty.
2
Phone number
Add or update your Phone number (your professional number), then tap
Save. Leave it blank to remove it.
3
Translation language
Open the Translation language menu to pick the language you read in.
Messages written in other languages are translated into this language for
you. Choose Auto-detect (System) to follow your device’s language, or
pick one of: English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese,
Japanese, or Arabic. Tap Save to apply it.
Each card saves on its own, so there’s no screen-wide Save or Cancel.
Appearance and Haptics are the exceptions: they apply immediately,
with no Save button.
Task calendar
Task calendar puts the tasks assigned to you into the calendar app you already use, such as Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook, next to the rest of your day.1
Create your link
Tap Create calendar link. Your link appears in the card.
2
Copy it
Tap Copy link.
3
Add it to your calendar app
Add it as a calendar you subscribe to from a URL. In Google Calendar on a
computer, that’s Other calendars → From URL. On an iPhone, add a
Subscribed Calendar from the Calendar settings. In Outlook, it’s
Add calendar → Subscribe from web.
Your calendar app decides how often it checks for changes, and some take
several hours. Vidimo always has the latest, so check the app when timing
matters.
Sign-in & security
Sign-in & security lists every way you can open your account (Email & password, Google, and Apple) so you can see at a glance which ones are set up and add or remove them. Each row shows where it stands: Password set or No password set for email, Connected or Not connected for Google and Apple. A row reading Your only way to sign in is the one thing still letting you in, so it can’t be removed.Set or change your password
If you signed up with Google or Apple, you have no password yet: the Email & password row reads No password set. Tap Set password, choose one of at least 8 characters, re-enter it under Confirm new password, and tap Set password. You can now sign in with your email address as well, and your existing sign-in methods keep working. If you already have one, the button reads Change password instead. Enter your Current password, then your new one twice, and tap Change password. You stay signed in on this device; you’ll be signed out everywhere else.Connect or remove Google and Apple
Tap Connect on the Google or Apple row to attach that account, and confirm with the provider as usual. Once attached, the row reads Connected. To detach one, tap Remove and confirm in the Remove dialog. You’ll no longer be able to sign in that way, your other methods keep working, and you can connect it again from this screen at any time.Google and Apple appear when they’re available on your Vidimo, or when
you’ve already connected one, even if it later stops being available, so you
can still see it and remove it.
