Open a team chat
1
Go to the Staff segment
On the Chats tab, tap Staff to show your team conversations.
2
Tap a conversation
Tap a row to open it. Your own messages sit on the right, your teammates’ on
the left.
Direct messages and group chats
A team chat is either a direct (one-to-one) message with a single teammate or a group chat with several people.- In a direct message, the header shows the other person’s name and avatar.
- In a group chat, each message carries the sender’s name above it, so you can always tell who said what.
Send a message
At the bottom of the conversation is the message box. Tap it, type your message, and send. It appears in the thread right away.Share a booking, task or guest
When you need a teammate to look at something specific, send them the record itself rather than describing it.1
Copy the link
Open the booking, task or guest, then tap Copy link at the top of the
panel, next to Edit. For a booking across more than one room, the copy icon sits next to each
room name instead, under Guests. A shared booking has to say which room you
mean, so you pick it rather than the app guessing.
2
Paste it into your message
Go to the team chat, paste the link, and add whatever you want to say
alongside it: “can you check this one before 3pm?”
3
Send
The link turns into a card above your message, showing the room, dates and
status. Your own words stay underneath.
When a teammate can’t open it
Not everyone on a property sees everything: an Operator, for example, sees only their own tasks and no guest records at all (see Roles and permissions). If you share something a teammate in the chat can’t reach, a line under your own message says so: Marie can’t open this, Marie and Paul can’t open this, or 3 people can’t open this once it is more than a couple. Only you see that line, and it only appears when someone is actually left out. When the whole chat can open the card, nothing is shown. Everyone can open a booking, so in practice this is about tasks and guests.Record links only work in team chats. If you paste one into a guest
conversation it is removed before sending, because a guest has no way to open
it.
Send a photo, video or document
Beside the message box are a camera button for photos and videos and a paperclip button for documents. Tap one, pick your file, and it sends as its own message. Photos show as a picture your teammate can tap to open full-size, videos play in place, and documents arrive as a chip with the file’s name and size. A large photo is shrunk automatically before it sends.Send a voice note
When you’d rather speak than type, send a voice note. With the message box empty, tap the microphone button to its right and start talking, then tap again to stop and send. Your teammate gets a small player they can tap to listen to, with your message written out as text alongside it, handy when they’re with guests and can’t play the audio out loud.Delete a message
Team chats are internal to your property, so a message sent there can be taken back for everyone.1
Open the message's actions
Press and hold the message, or (on a wider screen) hover over it and tap
the ⋯ button beside it.
2
Choose Delete message
Tap Delete message, then confirm. It disappears for everyone in the
chat, not just for you.
You can always delete your own messages. Deleting a teammate’s message is
limited to Owners and Managers. See
Roles and permissions.
Call a teammate
In a one-to-one team chat, a phone button sits in the chat header. Tap it to place an internal call to that teammate without leaving the conversation. They see a dedicated Incoming · Internal screen when the call comes through. Internal calls between you and a teammate also appear as call pills inside the one-to-one thread, so the chat and its calls stay in one place. See Phone calls for the in-call controls and how those pills behave.Where to go next
