A unit is a bookable space within a property: a room, apartment, or villa. Units are what guests reserve and what your reservations and tasks are tied to. Manage them from the property’s settings.
Units live under property settings, which are role-gated: only Managers and other users with settings access can manage them. See Roles & permissions.

View your units

Open from the property settings to see every unit in the property. Each row shows the unit’s code and name, its readiness, its type, and how many guests it holds. Use the search box to find a unit by code, name, or type, and sort the list with the sort control. Tap a unit to open it.

Create a unit

1

Start a new unit

On the Units screen, tap Create unit.
2

Name the unit

Enter the Name, such as Room 101 or Apartment A.
3

Set the short code

Short code is a compact label for calendars and task lists, such as 101 or APH-SV. It auto-fills from the name; type to override it, or clear the field to go back to auto-fill.
4

Choose the unit type

Pick a Unit type: Single, Double, Twin, Triple, Quadruple, Studio, Suite, Apartment, Family, or Villa.
5

Set the occupancy

Open Occupancy to set Max guests, and optionally Max adults, Max children, and Children (payable rate).
6

Add a description (optional)

Use Description to describe the room: the view, the light, what makes it special. It’s shown on the room’s public page.
7

Add other details (optional)

You can also set the Size, Smoking policy, Cots and extra beds, and Amenities.
8

Save the unit

Tap Save to add the unit to the property.

Room readiness

Every unit carries a readiness state that answers one question: can this room take a guest right now? Readiness follows the day’s work on its own:
  • Completing a cleaning task sets its room to Clean.
  • Reopening a completed cleaning task puts the room back to Dirty. Cancelling one doesn’t: cancelling says the task shouldn’t have existed, not that the room was un-cleaned.
  • A stay reaching checked-out sets its rooms to Dirty.
  • Maintenance tasks never move it.
Out of order is the exception: nothing sets or clears it automatically. You set it by hand, and only you can clear it: a housekeeper finishing a job in that room won’t. To set readiness yourself, open the unit and use the Readiness field at the top of the edit screen. It saves as soon as you pick a state, without needing Save. Readiness shows up wherever arrival is decided: under the room code on Today’s arrival rows, and on the Unit line of a reservation. A booking across several rooms shows one state per room, so you can see which room is still outstanding. Out of order also shows on departure and in-house rows, since an unusable room matters whoever is in it.
Vidimo won’t place a new booking into a room marked Out of order. A dirty room stays placeable: every room is dirty between a checkout and the clean that follows.Marking a room Out of order also pauses the door code for a guest already staying in it. They’re shown that you’re sorting the room out, with a way to message you.None of this stops the booking sites from selling the room. To take a room off sale for a known period, use Block dates instead.

Edit a unit

Tap a unit in the Units list to open it. Change any of its details and tap Save, or tap Cancel to discard your changes.
To create a near-identical unit, open an existing one and tap Duplicate unit. Vidimo copies its details into a new unit you can then adjust. The copy keeps the original’s Short code, so change it on the new unit to keep codes unique. The copy always starts Clean, whatever the original’s readiness: it’s a different room.

Delete a unit

On a unit’s edit screen, tap Delete unit at the bottom and confirm.
Deleting a unit is permanent and can’t be undone. Bookings linked to that unit may need to be updated afterward.
