Vidimo is built to keep working even when your connection drops — on a property tour, in a basement, or on a patchy mobile signal. You can keep going, and nothing you do is lost.

When you go offline

If your connection drops, a banner appears at the top of the screen:
You’re offline. Changes will sync when you’re back.
You can keep viewing your chats, tasks, and calendar, and keep working as normal. Anything you change is saved on your device and syncs automatically the moment your connection returns — you don’t need to do anything to make that happen. If your device is online but Vidimo’s own servers can’t be reached (a service outage, or a wifi that makes you sign in before it lets anything through), the banner tells you that instead:
Can’t reach Vidimo. Changes will sync when it’s back.
It works the same way: keep going, and your changes sync as soon as the connection is back.
The banner clears itself as soon as you’re back online. There’s no button to tap and nothing to retry.

The first time you sign in

The very first time you sign in on a device, Vidimo loads your data and shows a brief syncing screen with a progress bar while it does. On a slow connection this can take a little longer; the progress bar shows it’s still working. If Vidimo can’t reach the server during that first load, you’ll see a message letting you know, along with a Try again option. Your data will load as soon as the connection is restored — you can tap Try again to attempt it right away, or simply wait and it will pick up on its own.
If your connection is fine and Vidimo still won’t load, check status.vidimo.app. It shows whether Vidimo itself is having trouble, and it runs outside our own infrastructure, so it keeps answering even when we’re down.
