Pricing

Pricing is set per unit type, not per unit: every Double shares one price and one calendar, the same way availability is counted. Two places carry it:

• Calendar, Rates view: every night’s price and rules, and where you change them. Open the Calendar tab, tap the view button (it reads Units or Staff) and choose Rates.
• Settings, Rooms & rates, Pricing: the base rate per unit type and your seasons.

Changes sync to your connected channels, so a price you set here is the price your guests are quoted, on your own booking page and on the channels you have connected.

Read the board

The Rates view is a board: nights across the screen, unit types down, with a band per property when your scope shows several. Each cell shows the price, and a small number in the corner is the minimum stay. Under each unit type’s name is how many units it has. Swipe sideways to move through the nights, across months, or use the arrows beside the month name to jump a month at a time. Tap the month name to come back to today. The legend behind the small (i) beside the Calendar title explains every mark while the Rates view is up.

Change one night

Tap the night. The editor opens under the board, on that night and unit type, with one line per value: price, minimum stay, maximum stay, check-in, check-out and sale. Each control starts at what the night holds now, and the line under the name says where the price comes from, who last changed the night and how many units are free. Change what you want: type a price, step a stay up or down, or tap a side. A line you change gets a green dot and says what it was, with Leave as is to put it back. A line you do not touch is not sent. Tapping the side a rule already has counts as a change too: it is sent as it is. Then tap Save at the top of the editor. Close puts it away when nothing has changed; once something has, it reads Cancel and asks before your changes are lost. A price or minimum stay set to exactly what the season or base rate already gives is not sent, so the night keeps following its season or base rate. The line says so and names where the value comes from, for example The base price is already 240, so nothing changes for Suite. Save stays off while that leaves nothing to save. To take a night’s own price off and let it fall back to its season or the base rate, tap the line under the price, which names what it falls back to, for example Use base price (125). A night’s own minimum stay comes off the same way: step the minimum down to From season. No limit takes a maximum stay off. A price has to be above 0. A free night is one anybody can book; a discount for one guest belongs in a promotion code instead.

Change many nights

Choose the nights on the board while the editor is open.

• A span: tap the first night, then the last night in the same row. The nights light up, across months if you like: swipe or use the month arrows between the two taps. Tapping a date at the top of the board as the second tap closes the span there, for every unit type of the property.
• More unit types: tap a night in another row of the same property, or tick its name in the editor. Tapping a date at the top of the board opens that night with every unit type of the property ticked; when the board shows several properties, the hint under it names which one.
• Start again: once a span is chosen, the next tap in its row starts a new one from that night, keeping what you typed. A date tap keeps what you typed too. A tap on another property’s night asks before your changes are lost, naming that property, since a change covers one property.

Each line then reads what the nights hold, or says how they differ, such as 2 of 4 nights closed or Varies. A line you change is set on every night you chose; a line you leave alone stays as it is on each of them. A minimum stay longer than the maximum a night already has is refused, since no stay could start on that night. When the change covers more than one unit type, the price has a line for each, starting at that unit type’s own price. Type the ones you want to change; a unit type whose line you leave alone keeps its price. The other lines, such as minimum stay or sale, apply to every unit type you chose. Tap Save. If a night in the span already has a booking, the guest keeps the price they booked at. Closing a night that already has bookings stops new bookings only, and the editor says how many of the nights are booked before you save.

Saving and sending

A save changes your rates in Vidimo at once, and the board shows the new values. When a channel is connected, your saves go out to it together a few seconds after your last one, so a run of quick edits reaches your channels as one update. A line under the board counts the changes waiting and the seconds left; Send now sends them straight away. Nothing waits longer than a minute. A short Saved confirmation appears with Undo while you still want it. When no booking site is connected, the confirmation says so: the change is saved in Vidimo and nothing is sent. If a save does not go through, because you are offline or a night changed on another device since you last saw it, the editor stays open with what you typed and says why, so you can save again.

See what reached your channels

In Settings, Team, Activity lists every change saved from the Rates board: what changed, who made it, when, and whether your channels took it, alongside every edit to a reservation, task or guest. A change Vidimo support made while helping you names the support agent and whose account they used. Owners and managers see it. Base rates, seasons and the lowest price, which you change in Settings, Rooms & rates, Pricing, are not listed there. Open a rate change to read every night’s old and new value, what went out with its channel reference, and Show these nights to open the board on exactly those nights; the back arrow returns to the board. Send again is there for a change your channels did not take, or one with a unit type that was not linked to them at the time, as long as its nights have not changed since. Undo this change puts the nights back within 15 minutes, unless a night has passed since or its old price is now under the unit type’s lowest price. A property that sells on no channel is told none of this: the change is simply saved. The details of a change are kept for 90 days; who changed a night, and when, stays on the night for good. If your channels did not take a change, a notification in the bell says so and opens the change so you can send it again. Unit-count updates your channels receive after a booking are listed too.

Set the base rate

In Settings, Rooms & rates, Pricing, each unit type has a Base / night. This is what a night costs when nothing more specific applies, and it is the starting point for everything else. A unit type with no base rate and no season covering a night cannot be sold that night: there is no price to charge.

Set a lowest price

Under each base rate, Lowest price is the least a night of that unit type can be priced at. No night, season or base rate can be set below it, whoever makes the change, so a price typed wrong by mistake is refused before it reaches your channels. It starts Not set; only the owner can set or change it, and everyone else sees what it is. It cannot be raised over prices already set below it for a night or a season still ahead: Settings says how many there are, so you raise them first. Once it is kept, Saved appears under the field with the amount.

Price a stretch with seasons

A season is a rule: “1 June to 31 August costs €200 a night, minimum three nights.” It covers a date range rather than a list of nights, so changing a whole summer is one edit instead of ninety. Add one under Seasons in Settings, Rooms & rates, Pricing:

When seasons overlap

Seasons are allowed to overlap, and the one with the highest priority wins for the nights they share. That is what lets you lay a short, expensive rule on top of a long, cheap one:

• Shoulder season, 1 April to 31 October, €120, priority 0
• Peak week, 10 to 17 August, €260, priority 10

Every night in that range prices at €120 except 10 to 17 August, which prices at €260. Shrinking or deleting the peak-week season leaves the shoulder rule covering those nights again. Nothing is stranded.

To take units off sale

Pricing controls what a night costs and how it may be sold. To hold a unit out of inventory entirely (an owner stay, maintenance, a manual close), use Blocked dates instead.
